There are many ways to support the library.
The Library Board has the responsibility of making and directing the policy of the library, in accordance at all times with the Statutes of the State of Kansas. Its responsibilities include promotion of library interests, securing of adequate funds to carry on the work satisfactorily, and the administration and control of library funds, property, and equipment.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is an organization of people who believe in the worth of an effective and attractive library. Its members pay a small membership fee and many serve in a volunteer capacity on the Friends Board, in committees, and in various roles for our two annual book sales.
Gifts and Memorials
The library's Gift and Memorial program was established in the 1960s. Community members have donated funds to honor or remember special events in their lives, such as marriages, births, anniversaries, or deaths. The memorial book program enables the library to purchase many extra items of high quality.
