RESOURCES

The Emporia Public Library provides the following resources:

Adventure Kits

Have an adventure using one of the library's Adventure Kits. Kits, include geocaching, tours of Lyon County or Emporia, and literacy-related adventures.

Book Study Sets

This includes the list of book study sets that are available to the public. The most up-to-date list can be found by using the catalog material type of "book-study."

Catalog

Find the item you are looking for in the catalog. This catalog searches EPL's physical collection but also Sunflower eLibrary, Project Gutenberg, and Librivox.

Emporia Area Resource Guide

Includes a list of area contacts for local resources available to the public. List is created by the program development manager of the KCSL.

Disc Golf Kits

Disc Golf Kits are available for checkout for 1 week to patrons 18 years or older. You can ask at the circulation desk to reserve a kit or you can reserve through the catalog. 

Genealogy

EPL's collection of local newspapers on microfilm, indexes, directories, and other resources are available for researchers. For a list of the collection, click the link below.

These kits encourage connection between people with dementia and those who care for them through reminiscence therapy. Ask our information desk for details.

Memory Kits

From eBooks to databases, many resources are available for patrons. Some online resources require a State of Kansas Library Card, which is available at the information desk or online.

Online Resources

Our Large Meeting Room is available for free public use. The room is to be used for not-for-profit groups with the purpose to inform, not sell or make money. 

Public Meeting Room

STEM Kits

STEM Kits focus on different aspects of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Contact our staff at the public service desk for details.

Computers and Wifi

Computers are available to the public. There are 10 computers available for use and 3 computers available in the Children's Room. Patrons are allotted a minimum of 60 minutes per day. 

Study Rooms

Study rooms are available for individuals and small groups. 

A Study Rooms are gifted by Dr. Laurence & Betty Boylan.

Tax Information

The Emporia Public Library does not provide tax services and cannot answer legal questions. We will do our best to connect you with the appropriate resources, should you have questions. 

Mobile Printing

If you would like to send prints to us,

please email them to epl@emporialibrary.org

with the number of copies you need. Black and white pages are 15 cents each and color pages are 25 cents each.
